Girls Tennis drops three, moves to 1-6 on the season

The Girls Tennis team had three matches before heading into the Labor Day holiday weekend. First, a visit from Visitation on Tuesday, August 27, where they fell 5-2. On August 29, they made a trip up to Roseville to take on both Roseville and Wayzata, falling 5-2 and 6-1 respectively.
Against Visitation, the Raiders had several good, long volleys but they could not overcome the depth of Phoenix. Brooklyn and Reese Keller continued leading the Raiders winning their sets and the younger Raiders fought hard but ultimately fell.

The trip to Roseville was another learning experience for the young Raider girls. They faced off against both Roseville and Wayzata. Head Coach Marissa Welch mixed things up in the match against Wayzata, moving singles players into doubles matches and having some of the doubles players play singles.

The girls return to action after the Labor Day break on Sep. 5 at South St. Paul, the Eastview comes to town on Sep. 9, both at 3:30 p.m. The girls then travel to Simley on Sep. 10 for a 4:00 p.m. match and they return home against North St. Paul at 3:30 p.m. on Sep. 12 before a full day at Eagan on Sep. 14 starting at 9:00 a.m.
