Pure Salon moves to new space and expands services

Pure Salon owner Kelli Robinson has been part of the Hastings business landscape for eight years. Until recently, they were working out of a 480 square foot space at 109 12th Street West, behind Johnson Jewelers in the Midtown Shopping Center. On Saturday, October 5, Robinson held her grand opening event at their new salon and spa space located at 1315 South Frontage Road. The new 2300 square foot space is located at the west end of the former movie theater building owned by Ben Radant.
The main service space features a spacious receptionist desk, a nail care station, four stylist stations plus four hair washing stations along with a comfortable waiting area. There are separate rooms for eye lashes, facials/skin care and a future massage/acupuncture room along with a spacious employee break area and storage/laundry room.
“I have an office,” Robinson laughed during the tour. “Not that I need much of an office, but I have one!”
It was very clear during the tour that she knew she made the right choice with the expansion, she could barely contain her excitement with each new room she showed.
“It was a big decision. I had been looking and researching for probably the last two years on where to go, what to do. I'm almost 50, so of course, it was like, do I go in headfirst and do it at this time? And I did. I have my daughter who is the esthetician, so I have somebody to hand it off to,” she explained.
The move to the expanded space means the business needed to make an expansion on the name too. Pure Salon has evolved to be Pure Salon and Spa.
The expanded space also means expanded opportunities for those looking to work in the industry in Hastings.
“I have three more chairs to fill, so any hair stylist, new or seasoned, any of them, we are looking for more. I would also love to add a massage therapist and acupuncture,” added Robinson.
The location is open Monday through Saturday, and each service is setup as their own individual contractor so hours may vary some depending on the service and the personnel.
Since opening, Pure Salon has been an Aveda concept location and that is not changing. They are the only official Aveda location in Hastings meaning they use Aveda products including their color line and they sell the Aveda products on site.
