Simply Secure Storage purchased the roughly 90,000-square-foot corner property at the intersection of Spiral Boulevard and Glendale Road and currently has 19 of their MEGA storage units built. By the time the property is full, the company estimates they could have around 650 storage units of various sizes depending on what customers demand. The property is secured with fencing, a coded gate and top of the line security cameras.
The longest process at the site was getting the ground prepped for the buildings. Once that was done, concrete took about a week and then the building went up. The whole process is fairly quick because the building is shipped in a partially preassembled state that requires minimal onsite cutting. It also minimized onsite waste as well. Once the building is up, the electricians work to install the LED lighting system and electrical outlets and then the buildings can be rented.
Storage units are a big deal for area homes, especially older homes with smaller garages and limited storage. Having a local storage unit for homes allows homeowners to eliminate some clutter while keeping their stuff safe and local. The MEGA storage is the same thought process for regional businesses.
