Young America, we need your Vote

To the editor:
Many political polls reveal that young people, those thirty years of age and younger have the lowest voter turnout of all eligible voters. However, as our youth grow in age, the percentage rises, and peaks at roughly fifty years of age. My advice to young American’s is that you may not have the luxury of waiting until you reach that “ripe old age of fifty.” With our current state of politics and the scandalous activities of the courts and their free-lance ability to legislate from the bench. When our executive leadership decides willy nilly that they are going to reform our Supreme court Judges. When our state leaders can simply turn a blind eye to the crime and corruption that takes place daily, you may not have a free country in which to vote for by the time you are fifty years old.
In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined a climate like we find ourselves in. An economy where young Americans have legitimate concerns over whether they can afford a home or even a decent car or groceries. Not to mention the through the roof inflation. A State capital where they can just spend away a 17 billion dollar surplus and not even consider putting some of that into a “rainy day fund,” much less not a thought to giving some of our overtaxed paychecks back to us. Remember the hope of a rebate. Young adults are concerned about public safety as well. As our young folks mature into adulthood, they are starting to realize the lack of confidence regarding local and national security. From current politicians who want to remove our right to keep and bear arms, to open borders and the millions of illegals who freely walk into our country. These same politicians are feverishly trying to give them voting status for the sake of padding the ballet box in their favor. Yes, young Americans’ you have every right to be concerned.
But this one thing I am confident of; our youth are not ignorant. I know that you are not content with what you see, and I believe in your ability to do the right thing. You will research your candidates and you will not be fooled by the “flavor” of the day. You will look at what these candidates have and have not accomplished. What they have done for your country. As adults you want the same America now as the America you had as a child. So please, I plead with our young Americans, VOTE THIS NOVEMBER!
